40 days of Spring Cleaning
I’m a big fan of spring cleaning. There’s something about winter that I find leads to collecting *things* and a more cluttered house. Most years, I slowly make my way through the house as the weather warms up and things get on my nerves or in my way.
This year I’m taking a different approach, inspired by one of my favorite blogs Clover Lane. 40 days of spring cleaning in the spirit of Lent. As a Catholic, it feels very appropriate. With a looming summer PCS, it sounds effective. And I can always use a little help staying on task.
Today, I’m going to sit down and make a plan for my 40 days of cleaning. Things I can do in five or ten minutes while Monkey is sleeping or distracted. I’m starting with the master bath because it’s been KILLING me lately!
If you’re interested in the basics, Clover Lane has a great little summary! Grab the button, post your plan and comment with a link. I’ll check back in on Wednesdays!

I LOVE spring cleanning! Everything just feels right afterwards, and during a deployment it makes me feel more in control of my life.
Definitly going to check out the 40 days of spring cleanning! Thank you for sharing!

First thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I, too, have been cleaning out the clutter and unnecessary stuff in my life. I like the idea of doing so each of the 40 days of Lent. As a Catholic too, I have been focusing on numerous ways to clean up my lifestyle and I hope I can maintain this not just for Lent, but as permanent changes. Blessings, Roz (now following too!)
Hi Kristen
spring cleaning is so good for the soul as well as getting that ‘glean’ back in your home. Good luck! And thank you for commenting on my blog for #commenthour Very very appreciative
Cheers!

What a great idea! I’ve already given up soda for lent, but I also like the idea of doing something productive. Heaven knows my house could use it. Thanks for sharing!
And thanks for stopping by during #commenthour. Hope to “see” you again soon!
I should really do this- but I’m also really lazy when it comes to cleaning sometimes. It’s a good idea though to get it done bit by bit.
I would love to!!!!!!
I hate spring cleaning. Probably because I loathe anything with the word cleaning involved. I only do it cuz despite my hatred for cleaning, I also hate messes. Oh yeah, and because my husband won’t hire a maid lol.
Good luck!!!
