unproductive

I made a comment to an army wife friend on facebook that I was going to hunker down this week and get some serious deep cleaning done. Her response? “ArmyMan’s going TDY again?”

Yup.

I’m so productive during these short trips. It’s when I do my deep cleaning. I clean out closets, donate unwanted items, scrub floors and bathrooms.

I even make jokes when my house gets unorganized that its time for another training trip so that I can get caught up. I’m sure non-military friends those comments seem off color at a time when our guys spend so much time away from home.

But, I’m productive because my house is so much more empty. Because I don’t sleep as long or as well. The humor and using that extra time is just a way to make the best. That’s how I make this whole Army thing work for me.
