TOABH: History Of My Horse
I don’t participate in a lot of blog hops, but everyone knows I take any opportunity to chat about my pony!
The prompt: History of the Horse – Before you met, where was your horse? Who bred him/her? What do you know about his sire and his dam? What do you know where he came from? Tell me about the time before he had a trainer.
Readers, meet Valiant SF.
Valiant is a NA/WPN (Dutch) warmblood gelding who stood at stud and competed in the jumper ring before coming to me. His sire, Iroko, was the #1 KWPN jumper sire for years and his dam, Condina ( ab imported Cor de la bryere mare), added top notch Holsteiner breeding to the mix.
Iroko is known for good looking and athletic offspring – my handsome boy is no exception. True to his breeding, he displays equal talent for both the jumper and dressage arenas. Condina produced all premium offspring including multiple approved stallions (Valiant was one of them).
Little Bit Farm put Valiant through the Stallion approvals, then he went Altamonte Show Stables in St Louis, as far as I can tell. After a AA circuit show career, his owner moved on to other horses and he was found by my trainer at the time – I bought him shortly afterwards.

He’s such a beautiful boy!
Thank you 🙂
He is quite gorgeous! Is he still a stallion?
Thank you! He’s no longer a stallion but I’m holding out hope that I can find one of his babies!
